Sri Lanka boasts nearly 1,300 kilometers of wide, sandy beaches that resemble picture postcards. These beaches come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, with sheltered coves, sandy beach headlands, and little bays. The most popular beaches are located in the southwest of Sri Lanka and offer excellent snorkeling opportunities, although they can be a bit crowded. On the other hand, the beaches in the deep South and East are more remote, serene, and unspoiled, making them ideal for a peaceful day in the sun.
