Sigiriya Rock Fortress

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress is an ancient royal palace perched atop a towering rock. Known as the “Lion Rock” due to the gigantic lion paws that once guarded the entrance, this architectural wonder dates back to the 5th century. Climb the 1,200 steps to the summit for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including water gardens, frescoes, and the ruins of an ancient civilization. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic,

Day 01 Colombo airport to Sigiriya
Upon your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted with a warm welcome to Sri Lanka. From there, you will be transferred to Sigiriya, which will take approximately 4 to 5 hours by road. After reaching Sigiriya, the first night will be spent at a hotel in close proximity to the destination. It is important to recover from a long flight and acclimatize yourself before embarking on a busy tour over the next few days. You can relax and rejuvenate during the first night. You will be served dinner at the hotel and provided with an overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 02 Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast, head out on a tour to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient monolith that was  converted into a secure fort by King Kashyapa during his 22-year reign. One of the highlights of  Sigiriya is the beautiful drawings of "Apsaras" or Celestial Nymphs, of which about 20 remain to this  day.  From Sigiriya, continue your journey to Kandy. The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa)  is considered the most sacred site for Buddhists worldwide. It houses the most important object in  the Buddhist world, a tooth fragment recovered from the funeral pyre of the Buddha.  Take some time to watch traditional Kandyan dances at one of the city's cultural performance  centers. A troupe of dancers in vibrant costumes, accompanied by drummers, will give you a  spectacular display of Kandyan dancing that will leave you mesmerized. Finally, enjoy dinner and  spend the night at a hotel in Kandy.

Day 03 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya by Train
After breakfast, embark on a scenic hillside train ride from Kandy to Nanu Oya. As you travel, watch  the beautiful landscape transform from flat terrain to mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and lakes. This  area is renowned for producing the world's finest tea, and you can spot numerous tea plantations  along the way. Keep an eye out for a stunning view of the famous Adam's Peak, located roughly  1.5km from the station. Later, enjoy dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 04 Nuwara Eliya to Yalla
Our day will start with a trip to Yala National Park after breakfast. On the way, we will stop at Ella to  see the magnificent Ravana Falls. (If you request to stay in camping) we will arrive at Big Game  Camping Yala where we will embark on an evening safari. During the safari, we will have the chance  to witness leopards as they awaken from their daytime slumber. Apart from leopards, the national  park is also home to other animals such as elephants, sloth bears, deer, jackals, wild boar, and over  100 species of birds. After the safari, we will return to Big Game Camping Site Yala for dinner, spend  the night at the hotel in Yala.

Day 05 Yala to Galle or Unawatuna
After having breakfast at Yala, we will transfer to Galle, which is the largest city in southern Sri Lanka  and is often referred to as the southern capital. One of the main attractions in Galle is the 17th  Century Dutch Fort (a World Heritage Site), which has a unique culture and style of its own. There  are also beautiful and rustic houses and shops built in the Dutch colonial style, and narrow lanes  paved neatly with cobblestone dating back in time.  Later in the afternoon, we will visit Unawatuna, which is considered one of the best beaches in the  world. The calm waters of Unawatuna Bay and Thalpe offer a chance to relax, sunbathe, go for a  long walk on the beautiful beach, or dive into the still waters. Unawatuna is also great for diving and  snorkeling. We will end the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Galle or Unawatuna.

Day 06 Galle to Negombo
After having breakfast, you can proceed to Colombo, which is the largest and busiest city in Sri  Lanka, with a high population density. Colombo offers an extraordinary shopping experience with a  variety of options ranging from street vendors to fancy shopping malls. The city boasts a unique  blend of colonial-era and modern buildings, which have experienced rapid development over the  past few years. Finally, you can enjoy a delectable dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at a  hotel in Negombo.

Day 07 Negombo to Airport
After having breakfast, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure from Sri  Lanka.
